11/28/2009

Yes it has been two days since I submitted my short story and it's the holidays but that doesn't stop me from checking my email constantly and worrying. This time of year is the best time to dig deep into a new story and really get involved with the story telling, not trying to sell when everyone is closed for the remainder of the calendar year. So first chance I'm given, I think a new story will start to take some shape. It has got to be better than waiting for good or bad news like this.

Would be nice to have a trick or method for dealing with wait times but in my mind all I can do is worry and doubt my work. Constant rejections tends to do that.

Suggestions?

11/26/2009

Submitted a short story to a publication company yesterday and the anxiety has already begun. The wait, sometimes weeks or months is killer.

Not much to say except polishing up a story I recently finished and looking forward to starting a new story very soon.

Hard to believe I'm back into sending out queries or actual manuscripts but here I am, and hope somebody is looking.

1st post in awhile. Been busy writing and little time for blogging. Finished a tragedy novella tonight and I'm excited about how it worked out. Getting close to the end of 2009 year so I'll be figuring some stats on how many queries I sent out this year but that shouldn't be difficult. Next year will be a new year, new stories to sell, new markets to sell them in.

I am eager to begin editing a short story I finished this summer and possible publication then onto new things. A new sci-fi is in the works and notes are piling up. So getting ready for that and ready to fill the pages of another story.

Hopefully in a couple of months I can look into editing this novella and see where it can go.
