Just got my first review back for The Cibarius and I'm excited. Looks like I'll be brushing the story up or tweaking it slightly in the future, but to what extent I'm not sure. In the end, somebody telling me they enjoyed reading something I wrote, is worth all the trouble.

Well several stories are now circulating, most via email and one printed version. Spent Saturday printing three copies and then found the puppy chewing on the edges of one. So my thoughts are the story must be good, or tastes good. I'm happy with the finished product either way, but I'm curious as to what others will think/react.

The new story I'm working on, a complete rewrite is starting slow. I'd like to follow the previous plot and flow of the story but I don't want to copy it. Something fresh and interesting while portraying a difficult story. It's been a long time since I've written anything new like this and it might take me awhile to get back into the swing of it.

Spent some time yesterday printing a few copies of my short story The Cibarius for some friends to read. Really had more response from my Facebook post than I expected but I'm glad of it. Now comes the wait period and hope I'll get some feedback in return. Can't deny I'm happy to be mostly finished with that story and today I'm working on "something different" but in the same genre as the last. Not sure why but it seems like a story to be 100% fantasy would be a step backward, so I'm happy to consider and work on Chick Lit.

Wow has it been a year already? I've been busy moving and writing but less of later. Currently I've got a short story finished and trying to decide what to do with it. I keep leaning towards a self-publication via Kindle but haven't completely decided. I've also figured out that writing a story is the easy part of becoming published. Or maybe not "published" but successful. Still think I'd be perfectly happy with a few readers and I'm sure I'll be happy with that if they buy my story.

Would like to start working on a totally new story but my newest short story has been taking up most of my writing time. Seems like each day is shorter than the last and the list of things to do is growing.

The more I write the more I realize the need to write more. When I first started writing all I was interested in was fantasy fiction but now two or more years have passed and I've moved away from the genre. I don't know which way is my path but I'm going to try a few more to test the waters. Funny thinking back how I wrote my first novel, completely satisfied with the idea that that was the one story I'd ever write and never again. My stories may never make it past my laptop, or my family and that is okay with me.

Well I've taken a bunch of time off and here I am again. The itch to write is coming back. Well it came back about a month ago and I've kept myself occupied finishing up two stories that are now done. My girlfriend read one of my stories, the first ever she's read and I think she liked it... Of course if she hated it I doubt I'd know. But regardless I'm fairly happy with the results from both stories.

Tonight has been dedicated to working on a sci-fi story I've been thinking about for the past two years. Still long ways from starting it but it's coming together.

Tackling the beast once more. This time with renewed interest and vigor. I'm cutting my original novel down to size, and each word cut is a step closer towards my goal. I've had enough breaks, enough excuses, it is time to get back to work. It's time to write...err edit.
