For the 2nd time ever I received something from a literary agent other than a standardized rejection letter. Now it was a rejection letter, however it didn't appear to be the standard form letter I've become so accustomed to receiving. Alas I was rejected and moving on but it did make me smile. I've since taken that agency off my list and look forward to proving them wrong. Good night...

New query sent out into the great beyond... Still no word on several long lost but I have no unreal expectations of a sudden acceptance from those. Began new short story today, working out the details and I'm liking it.

Nothing new going on except I am editing my short story and trying to decide what to do with it. So many choices but in the end I'm sure all options will have been explored. Recently I find myself having more ideas then time to time then out. Mostly due to current living conditions but it isn't a huge problem. Just need a few quiet days at work when i'm focused and ready to go. Time management was never a strong point for me, never will be Im starting to believe...

18th of March - Keeping on...

Just another quick line or two today, not much to post and no new insights to how the publishing world works. More queries sent out into the world and wondering about those that never replied. Guess if my inbox had 200 unread messages in it, that could slow me down too.

Life: The greatest of days & writing...

Today was a day that makes me want to crawl into a cozy chair and begin to write my second novel. Yes, today was that good. I'll spare you the details but the decision has been made and the next short story I was considering has been postponed.

No updates recently, still have queries out but no news back which is uncommon. Typically the rejects come in fairly quick. Currently I have three stories out or well really two but the third is about to go out and we shall see what happens.

In other news, all is well and my break from writing is about complete. Still haven't decided which project will be started on next but the second novel has been weighing on me.

Except for the short story, there won't be anymore submissions until something starts coming back in. Don't want to mass submit my work, i'm not desperate! 8^)

Just doesn't seem like I'm sending very many queries out... However I don't know what to think. I get discouraged briefly when the queries come back so quickly in the middle of the night. Time to expand the agent list I query to and see the new rejection letters that come in.
